Reggie Awards





For nearly 60 years, local Builders have coveted the Reggie AwardSM statue more than any other. Honoring the best homes in the Parade of HomesSM by recognizing excellence in design and construction. All fall Parade of Homes entries can be judged (except for previous Reggie winning homes). Winners will take home that coveted Reggie statue to display in their office or model.

You'll be able to accept your award alongside our other award winners, in front of the entire BATC membership.  

(There is no Reggie competition for the Spring Parade of Homes.)


  • July 28, 2017 - Completed entry form and materials due
  • August 1, 2017 - $100* entry fee per home, payment is due, you will be invoiced for your entries. 
  • September 7, 2017 – Judges Orientation
  • September 22, 2017 - One exterior and two interior photos required for each Reggie entry, must be uploaded to
  • September 29, 2017 – Judges final selection meeting



  • Each Reggie entrant is asked to supply a representative as a judge (one name per company).  Providing a representative to judge is no longer required, but appreciated. Representative should have three years’ experience in the home building industry.  Please supply a representative that you would be comfortable with if they were to judge your entry.
  •  The structure Price supplied will be used to assign the entry to a judging category.
  • Contestants must complete a Reggie Entry Form for each entry they choose to submit.
  • Entry form consists of: Entry Information, Builder Information, Judging Information, Right to Use Photographs, Whole House Entry Description, and checkboxes for materials/features of various components of the home.
  • A structure only price must be supplied- *Structure price is the dollar value it would take to reproduce the house on any lot. This price will be used to assign the entry to a Reggie category.
  • Final prices are due for the fall Parade of Homes on July 14, 2017 (note, your Parade of Homes price must be the actual, reproducible price INCLUDING homesite and landscaping, Reggie price should back out the land/improvements). Please notify by email any price changes to: AND
  • If you fail to notify us of a price change, you will be disqualified for the Reggie Award and no refund given. If you change your final price after categories are determined (approx. 8/14/17), you must notify BATC. Your Reggie entry may be disqualified and your Reggie entry fee returned/refunded.
  • Builders of Reggie entries will be invoiced on August 1st, due upon receipt.

  • All fall Parade of Homes entries can be judged (except for previous Reggie Award winning homes).




  • A Reggie category will have four or more judges assigned for evaluation.  Judges will be comprised of the BATC membership including: Builders, Remodelers and/or Associates.  Reggie entrants will not have an individual from their company evaluate their entry.  No more than one judge from a given company will be in that category.  Associate members may or may not have supplied a product or service to an entry in their assigned judging category.
  •  Judges will evaluate the entry in the first three weekends of the fall Parade of Homes.
  • Judges can judge individually or car pool to the entry.
  • Judges are given a Reggie Judge identification badge to wear during judging.
  • Judges are asked to check-in with the home representative and have them sign their check in sheet, which the judge turns in at the selection meeting.
  • Judges rate the various components of the entry by quality on a scale of 0-5 with 5 being the highest.
  • Judges rate the staging and description of Whole Home Entry on a scale of 0-5 with 5 being the highest.
  • Judges rate the function, design, style, craftsmanship, and overall value of the home on a scale of 0-10 with 10 being the highest (see page 6 of the entry form).


  • Judges will meet with other judges in their category to determine the recipient.  Judges will compare notes and photos they took while judging. 
  • The judges will determine by consensus the recipient for their Reggie category.



  • Judges look for quality and craftsmanship of the entry.
