We are in the year 2017 and things have changed since you built or bought your house I bet! Do the following terms sound familiar to you? Energy Ratings, HERS Index Report, Air Changes Per Hour (ACH), High-Performance House, Smart House, Green House, Net Zero Energy House, Passive Solar House, Zero Energy Ready House. Did you ever think you’d see the day that you could live in a 5,800-square foot house in the Midwest with a 1200 square foot heated garage and have an annual natural gas bill of $700? This course will introduce you to some basic building science and into an actual real-life story of a home in the Midwest that had a $700 natural gas bill last year.

Larry Mayer, an energy engineer/auditor at Solution Design Inc., has more than 20 years of experience in commercial building energy efficiency solutions in ND, MN, and SD including 11 years with Honeywell.
