Scott Arcand, Health Educator at the MN Department of Health Indoor Air Unit, has been with MDH since August of 2014 as the Radon Outreach Coordinator and Health Educator working with builders and realtors throughout the state. Patrick Huelman is an associate professor in Residential Energy and Building Systems with the University of Minnesota’s Department of Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering and serves as coordinator of the Cold Climate Housing Program with the University of Minnesota Extension. He is a lead faculty member for the Residential Building Science and Technology undergraduate degree program and a principal investigator for hydrothermal testing at the Cloquet Residential Research Facility. Thomas Kline has a Master’s in Education Administration and has extensive experience in the construction and lead paint renovation industry. He is an EPA-approved Principal Instructor for the Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Program and has a thorough understanding of the rule requirements. Thomas has worked as a laborer and most recently with a "Big Box" store so he understands specific procedural applications and material and equipment requirements of the RRP Rule. Thomas has been instructing the Lead Renovator course with ZOTA Professional Training for nearly eight years. Peter Kulczyk has three decades of experience in the construction and building codes industry as an author, educator and expert in residential building codes, energy codes and green building practices. His past experience includes working on staff with the International Code Council, as an instructor with the State of Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry, as a municipal building inspector, building plans examiner and building official, and in various positions with five residential and commercial construction companies in Minnesota. He is certified by the International Code Council as a building inspector, plans examiner and green building-residential; by the State of Minnesota as a certified building official and certified instructor; by the United States Green Building Council as a LEED AP Homes; and by the State of California as a CALGreen inspector.

Paul Morin had 15 years as a carpenter framing new homes before becoming a weatherization auditor in the early 90s. Paul worked for more than 12 years for the Center for Energy and Environment diagnosing building shell, combustion spillage and moisture problems in single family and multifamily buildings. He has worked for The Energy Conservatory since 2009 providing technical support and has developed dozens of presentations and webinars. Paul is currently on the board of the Minnesota Building Performance Association.

Gail Nozal, assistant district manager for S&S Tree Specialists, has more than 25 years of experience in urban forestry and arboriculture. She manages programs and projects as well as presentations on tree care and urban forestry at the local and national level. She has trained hundreds of people on a variety of tree inventory projects. Jim Rosenow has been involved in the roofing industry since 1992. Jim started as a commercial roofing estimator/project manager at Central Roofing Company. Four years later, Jim joined GAF. For 11 years Jim took on a variety of roles at GAF, though promotions, from territory manager to regional sales manager. Over those years, Jim built strong relationships with contractors to help build their businesses by providing product solutions and application improvements. Jim moved to the distribution side of the business for four years before joining Northstar Associates as a manufacturer’s representative in 2014.
